Our vitrified clay pipe (VCP) is a stable conduit popular in the gravity sanitary sewer collection mains, and is deemed the longest-lasting pipe material to date. It is environmentally friendly, strong, and durable. Believe it or not, there is a case whereby a vitrified clay pipe of as old as 200 years is still operational. Their high rigidity prevents issues like deflection and flattening when subjected to heavy loads. They are also extremely resistant to hydrogen sulphide corrosion which can damage cast iron and concrete pipes. The vitrification process offers extra resistance and protection to combat the loss of strength and degeneration without an additional coating.
