Dragon Boat Team Building in Malaysia

Most definitely a fun event that requires some strenuous physical effort, but more importantly teamwork is essential, with synchronicity being more important than strength. A perfectly synchronized team will almost always beat a stronger, but less coordinated team! 

Dragon Boating also provides a unique ability to bridge communication gaps by building strong, supportive relationships where the CEO down to the junior staff members are literally 'in the same boat' working together, side by side, striving for the best!

Our customized Dragon Boating Team Building Event is a compact, action-packed half day program perfect for clients on a tighter schedule and those looking to add some higher activity & adventure to their team building outing.

A throughly exciting team building activity that produces high energy yet can be customized and enjoyed by people of diverse ages, abilities, and fitness levels.

Together with a special marquee rest area plus chairs and towels for comfort, each dragon boat team is provided with coaching, training and all equipment needed for a most exciting team experience! 

Program Information

It's best to have at least 3 teams, minimum 45-50 participants, to ensure good competition with teams rotated to ensure they have a good rest. So with 3 teams, 2 boats are typically on the water and 1 is resting or similar format depending on your group size.

Dragon Boating is very safe, almost impossible to tip the boats and we only race on calm water. All participants wear a safety life vest and we have a safety boat patrolling during the water sessions to ensure 100% safety.

A typical program starts with a welcome and ice breaking activity followed by event orientation and some dry land coaching. Once safety briefing and checks are complete it's into the boats for the on-water practice & training sessions!

After 2-3 practice runs plus review time to build team coordination, timing and paddle technique, teams tackle a 200-500m timed race against each other to determine the fastest teams. Each boat races against the other boats to determine the Dragon Boating Champions!

We complete the Dragon Boating Team Building workshop with special awards for all plus a grand trophy for the winning team! Lots of fun and plenty of great photos during a fun day out where everyone wins!
