First model of Kernel Expeller Machine (7.10E) since 1973 assembled with truck gearbox

Initially, Koon Heng Engineering Works was established in year 1973 as a sole proprietorship company which involved in providing maintenance works to palm oil processing machinery, supplying and manufacturing palm kernel expeller machinery and equipment.

In year 1980, Koon Heng Engineering Works started to expand its overseas business by exporting its own in-house designed and manufactured kernel expeller machinery and mechanical equipment to Indonesia. Subsequently in year 1985, Koon Heng Engineering Works successfully exported palm kernel expeller machinery to Nigeria and Africa. 

The company name, Koon Heng Engineering Works was changed to Khun Heng Engineering Works Sdn. Bhd. on 9th September 1988 in the effort to expand its product range to cover other types of palm oil processing machinery. In year 2002, YKL Engineering Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated to fulfil the market needs and at the same time to explore new market. YKL Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is a company that focuses on the design and manufacture of Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) processing machinery and Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) splitting machine. In year 2009, YTH Agri-Technology Sdn. Bhd. was formed to develop and manufacture automated seed pressing machinery.

Each and every individual company was formed to focus on design and manufacture of the different types of machinery specialized by the respective company. YKL Group comprises of Khun Heng Engineering Works Sdn. Bhd., YKL Engineering Sdn. Bhd., and YTH Agri-Technology Sdn. Bhd.

To sum up, YKL Group has acquired more than two (2) decades of valuable experience in oil palm industry. Despite that, YKL Group still continuously engage in Research and Development (R&D) program with a purpose to innovate new machinery and improve on old machinery so as to meet with the oil palm industry growing needs and requirements. YKL Group strives to satisfy every customer’s needs, expand our business globally and to increase market growth. Furthermore, YKL Group aims to be a one (1) stop centre to cater to the needs of the oil palm industry.

Therefore, YKL Group is working on the company’s quality system to meet the requirement of ISO 9001:2008. YKL Group has the capacity of undertaking design, fabricate, supply, delivery, install and commissioning of our machines and mechanical equipment for our related plant on turnkey basis.
